This is a great time of year in the shop when all the new season deliveries arrive. It’s always exciting to open the boxes and see what lovely garments will soon be available instore. We’ve already had some casualwear from Hartford, BZR, Day Birger et Mikkelson and Inwear and now the occasion wear has arrived.

Libelula has produced some gorgeous colours and prints again and we have a variety of versions of the classic but ever lovely Millie dress along with some new pretty shapes to check out. Tara Jarmon is all about bright, bold colours in classic Tara petite shapes. We’ve already had a very strong reaction to Aideen Bodkin with lots of jacket and dress combos. Nocturne has already been featured in this post and Ann Louise Roswald is all about sumptuous detail as always. Have a look at a few teaser pictures below. However you need to come into the shop to see AND feel everything in gorgeous detail!

Nocturne Dresses Spring Summer 2012 As featured in You Mag, Mail on Sunday

We recently had a couple of customers call the shop having spotted a lovely dress from Nocturne that was featured in You Mag in the Mail on Sunday. We didn’t have the dress in at the time but it’s arrived now along with a number of other really beautiful dresses just perfect for all manner of Summer events and occasions. The fabrics are all silk, often with stretch. The fit is usually quite generous with Nocturne and the cut is excellent. Check out the pictures.

Nocturne is a British label that we’ve stocked for a number of years for good reason, to which anyone who has one of their fabulous evening dresses can attest. The label uses the finest silks or heavy crepe – whatever best suits the cut and flow of each exquisit garment. The dresses often have distinctive embellishments which also follow through into their delightful jewellery. The fit of Nocturne has often been quite generous which is great for the fuller figure. We do usually stock the label in size 8 as a consequence. Quite a few of the dresses have sleeves which is just what our customers want in the Winter, we find. Nocturne is just the label you are looking for if you want to stand out from the crowd but still be elegantly dressed, just for the occasion.
